There are already many options available in thesis admin panel so that we can easily customize it. In 1.6 version of thesis theme they have given options to change the color of the theme. Thesis open hook plugin gives you option to add HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and even PHP code anywhere in thesis your theme without modifying the template files. Thesis works on hooks and you can call particular hooks very easily to make changes using this plugin.
If you are not using thesis open Hook plugin, then you are editing custom.php and custom._fuction.php file in order to make any change in the theme. Thesis open hook plugin has a admin panel from where you can easily call any hook and add the code without editing your template.
