I feel like a lot of these were waaaay too specific and don’t account for difference in personalities. Language like “always” and “never” is not good. Nobody’s perfect, so don’t expect your man to be. True, you want him to be the best man he can be, but don’t expect “always” or “never” unless it’s in the context of “he never sleeps with anyone else” or “he is always faithful to me.” Also, not all guys are going to do these things. In fact, if my guy did all of these things, I would wonder if he got knocked on the head a few too many times. For example, he has introduced me to his family and friends, but I can’t see him calling “many times a day” because hello, he’s busy. I’m happy if I get one good long conversation out of him every day. Under “plans trips with you” this person suggests, “there’s not a single recreational activity he will do without you,” and that sounds absolutely crazy to me. Different people have different interests, and you actually need some time apart to make sure that neither of you neglect your other friends. For example, my man likes to play video games, and I like to knit. Both are recreational activities, and neither are ones that I can see us doing together, but that’s totally okay! We’re different people, and we have different interests. I don’t need him to take up knitting to know that he’s serious about me. In general, I’d say the main points of this article are accurate, but the “always” and “never” language is just unrealistic. Read the big, bold words. Skip the elaborations.
