A girl has to be attractive for a guy to like her enough. By attractive women, I am referring to women who have an appealing figure and are good to look at. The reality of life is that physical attributes trigger off the initial responses to people so if someone is very beautiful on the inside but fails to show it on the outside, she will find it difficult to win the rat race.

The strange thing about men is that they always want the best of both worlds. They look for a girl who is sexy but is also adorable enough to be taken home. Rare as this combination might be, guys look for this quality in a girlfriend.

She should be caring and loving:

A guy wants his girlfriend to love him like a lover but he also wants her to take care of him like a mother. As I said earlier, they always want the best of both worlds.

She should have her own life:

A man appreciates an independent woman because independence shows control and power. Even though he would want to win all the power struggles, he looks for a woman who is her own boss, earns her own money and is thus, powerful in her own way.

She should be loyal and honest:

Infidelity isn’t appreciated by anyone, be it a man or a woman. We all expect faithfulness and transparency from someone we love. In all honesty, this is a very practical quality a man looks for in a girlfriend.

A source of strength and support:

Every man wants his girlfriend to stand by him in times of difficulty and to support him when he’s unsure of himself. Since a relationship involves two people, unless both of them can support and stand by each other during times of need, stability in a relationship becomes difficult.

She has to be a little submissive:

Men are very egoistic by nature so they look for women who are a bit submissive. It’s like the yin and yang of chinese feng shui. Every guy wants a woman who has her ego but is intelligent enough to not show it at every step. Being submissive isn’t a shortcoming because submissive people are always winners in the long run.
