Cheating boyfriends are not a rare find these days. With the time and frequency of interaction amongst people of both genders due to work and social get togethers, its easy to fall prey to someone else’s good looks and sweet talk even if you are in a steady and fulfilling relationship. There are several reasons as to why people or specifically boys cheat on their partners. Sometimes its just part of the person’s nature to cheat, sometimes they feel that they are missing out on something in their existing relationship and sometimes the temptation seems too much to resist.

He takes special care to dress well

Most guys by nature are shabby dressers. If they absolutely have to gear up and dress well for a formal occasion, they will but at other informal times they don’t pay much attention to what they wear. But if a guy is cheating on his partner, he will suddenly take pains to make sure he looks good at all times, especially when he may step out to meet the other “her”.

He hides his phone from you

Girls have the tendency to snoop through their boyfriend’s phone. And when a guy has nothing to hide he will let her do it too! But if a guy is cheating on his girl, he will suddenly become very secretive about his phone calls and text history and this may be a sign that he is hiding an affair from you.

He starts smelling different

A guy who is cheating on his partner will smell of extra aftershave lotion or will have a passing smell of women’s perfume. So notice if he suddenly smells unusual or different and you will get your answer.

He stays out late at night more often than usual

It’s pretty normal to have late nights at work and to be busy in general but if your guy suddenly seems to be spending every night out then it definitely means that something’s brewing. You could ask him straight out or wait till he confesses.

He is suddenly very secretive

A guy who is cheating will consciously try to hide his affair from his girl. They will therefore become secretive and will stop sharing everything that happens in their life with their girl. If your guy suddenly seems secretive then it probably means that he is hiding something.

He doesn’t seem interested anymore

A boyfriend who is deeply in love and faithful to his girl will always be interested in everything she says and does and one who suddenly seems disinterested is a sign of a cheating beau or one who is thinking of leaving their girl.

Keep an eye on his level of interest for you and if its not as high as the beginning of your relationship then there is trouble.

He avoids meeting you as regularly

A cheating boyfriend will need to utilize his spare time to catch up with the other girl and therefore will end up avoid meeting you as regularly. If you notice that he keeps coming up with excuses every time you try to make a plan with him then you can safely assume that he is cheating on you.

He avoids staying in touch with your friends

A boy who is cheating on his girl will avoid meeting her friends. But when he is in a stable and committed relationship he won’t mind an occasional call or rendez vous every now and then. So if your guy suddenly goes off radar it is probably due to his two timing game.

He stops calling you or taking your calls as frequently

A cheating boyfriend will avoid talking to his girl over the phone as often as he used to. This is because he would be spending his talk time with the other girl. So if there is a great reduction in the number of calls between you two then assume the worst.

His phone is always busy

Every time you try to call you will notice that his phone is busy. This probably is an indication of an affair. If it happens too often then you can be doubly sure.

He picks small things to fight about

Every one in a relationship will fight once in a way. But if he suddenly starts fighting over every little thing in the world then it’s his guilt that’s making him have these outbursts. Take it as a sign that something is wrong and that maybe he is cheating on you.

He stops gifting you things

Remember the times at the start of your courtship when he bought you little things that made you feel special? Although over time the frequency of those surprise gifts would slowly stop, when he is in an affair with someone else, they would mostly completely stop. This is because he would be looking for ways to now surprise his other partner.

Although these signs can give you an idea on whether your partner is cheating on you or not, it’s best to just ask him if you doubt him. Clear the air and the doubt once and for all.
