Limit the number of times you shampoo / condition your hair
Although shampooing the hair regular is a basic hygiene requirement, if you have curly hair you should limit shampooing your hair to once maybe twice a week. And when you do shampoo your hair you should use a lot of conditioner so that it stays smooth and silky for longer periods of time. Apply serum once you shampoo

Thin combs are usually not advisable for people with curly hair because it results in faster hair damage and breakage. If you have curly hair its best to use wide toothed brushes or combs that can help avoid hair breakage.
Avoid tying your hair with tight rubber bands when you sleep
It’s important to maintain the curls in your hair. Most times people with straight hair pin their hair up when they sleep to avoid getting tangles. But in case of curly hair, it ruins the shape of the curls if tied tight. It’s therefore better to bunch up the hair or tie it with a loose kerchief to it doesn’t lose its shape and doesn’t tangle.
Curly hair tends to frizz
Freshly washed curly hair tends to frizz. Dry / cold weather also makes curly hair look frizzy. To avoid this, it’s best to let the hair dry naturally after a head wash and not with the help of a towel, hair dryer. You could apply a little hair oil before or even after a head bath to reduce the extent of the frizz after a wash.

The sad part of those beautiful curls is that they can tangle pretty easily. So how does one avoid these tangles? It’s simple. All you have to do is moisturize your hair as much as possible. Stick to shampooing it not more than twice a week but moisturize it more often. You can apply a moisturizer to wet hair and then wash it off without using a shampoo. This helps to keep the curls smooth thus helping you avoid getting tangles as easily or frequently.
